Our production partners provide advice, sometimes we shoot a few scenes in their location and pay a small portion of the total budget. In return you receive a customized video master with unlimited duplication rights and supporting curriculum (leader's guide, participant's workbook, assessment tools, etc.) at a fraction of the price and with none of the pain.
For our part, we retain the rights to market the program and we get access to your experience and instincts. We have found time and again our production partners have reshaped the content and approach of our programs for the better.
We begin with research, lots of it. As part of that research we will want to talk to your content experts and review any pertinent printed materials on the subject you may have.
What has worked for you,
How are you training now?
Of course we keep all proprietary materials confidential.
Once we have completed all of our research we finalize the creative and write the first draft script. Now comes your most important responsibility. You will be asked to review and comment on our creative treatment and scripts.
We are looking for your thoughts
and impressions.
What works, what's inspiring, where have we taken a misstep and what is totally off the mark. While we can't guarantee that we will agree with all your comments, we have always come to common ground with our Partners, which have always made the programs better. We usually go through two or three drafts of the script before we are happy.
Next comes Pre-production. This is where we scout locations, cast the actors, schedule the crew and equipment, break down the script, design and dress the sets, and on and on and on. A lot of work goes into to prep, but you don't have to do a thing.
Lights, camera, action. Although not required, we would love to have you hang out on the set with us as a VIP and technical advisor.
We'll give you a chair,
and even put your name on it.
When it is appropriate to the video, we may even want to shoot a scene in one of your locations. If we do, it is always nice to have you there. Production usually takes a full week.
We now need about six weeks to wrap things up. This will include editing, developing an original music score, creating the graphics and completing the support materials. We keep you informed of our progress, we may even send you a rough cut, but you really don't have any responsibilities here.
As soon as we are finished we will deliver you a customized master with your logo and any special openings or closes we've agreed upon. We also deliver digital masters of all the support materials.
For our part, we will release a generic version of the program to our distributors and customers. This is where we make our money. We maintain all copyrights to the program.
These kinds of partnerships are particularly well suited for:
Library Partnerships work this way: Let's say your organization plans to use at least 100 copies of our programs (in any combination of titles) over the next 12 to 36 months. We'll guarantee the lowest possible price pre copy based upon your guarantee of the total programs to be purchased. This allows you to leverage your buying power without the upfront expense. We'll stock and ship the programs to you as you need them.

If your answer is NO,
Not in a million years.
We're grown-ups. We'll get over it.
We are very good at what we do because we only do what we are very good at.
The world is full of awful training videos.
We don't care to add to that pile. So, we only choose topics which play to our strengths. And we insist that every production passes,
No one chooses to watch a training video. They wish they were else where. They wish they could get some work done.
Their eyes may be open,
but their thoughts are miles away.
We love that kind of challenge.
As bad as most television programs are, they do look good. We know we have to look better. We know we have only a few minutes to engage our viewers or we've lost them.
We believe that they should never
really know what's coming next.
That's what makes things entertaining. We use humor, conflict, plot twists, great music, but mostly a sense of story. When the characters are real or the host feels like a good neighbor, viewers are willing to hang around long enough to see what happens.
Long enough to get the message.
At the core of any training video is a company's desire to change an employee. No matter what the action, habit or attitude is, we believe that there are real reasons why employees do what they do and real reasons why they don't want to change. If those reasons aren't addressed in the program, the video is a waste of tape. We believe viewers should recognize their world. When a character faces a dilemma or the host brings up a tricky situation, we want to hear the viewer say,
"I've been there."
We love to place the difficult questions center stage. That forces our scenes to be real, our characters to be real, and our solutions to be real. In the end, our goal is to hear the viewer say,
"I can do that."
That's when we know that any change will be real change.
We decided long ago to produce only programs which were based on universal human truth. In other words, the principals should work no matter where you apply them, because people are people.
What you learn in our training videos
had better work at home as well.
It should be just as true in another country or in the classroom. This test has served to limit the topics we take on, as well as the depth of the specifics we deal with. But surprisingly it has also served to make our programs valuable to the widest range of industries and applications.
